By the age of 16, Daniel was playing in clubs regularly with some of the top players around. After years of intensive study at the New England Conservatory of Music, Daniel returned home to quickly become one of the busiest musicians in town. Over the years, Daniel has played in many musical circumstances- from straight-ahead jazz, to big-stage rock, to salsa and merengue, classical, the sacred and the blasphemous, children’s music, forró, jams with homeless street performers, and many more. Daniel currently holds down a residency at Nica Jazz Bar in downtown Austin. Please Note: MONKS JAZZ IS NOW A FULL SERVICE BAR. As part of this transition, Monks Jazz is no longer a BYOB venue.
