Julian Gutierrez Quintet: Goldstream

About

Born in Cuba, Julian Gutierrez grew up in an environment that nurtured musical talent; his father, guitarist Ramiro Gutierrez, introduced him to music at a very early age. After graduating from the Esteban Salas Conservatory in Cuba, the pianist joined several local ensembles—including Mezcla, with whom he toured extensively throughout Europe and the United States. Some years later, after settling in Quebec, he took the helm of the nonet Habana Café, serving as a musician, composer, arranger, and musical director.
