About Trumpeter Joe Magnarelli has been a vital voice on the New York jazz scene for more than four decades. Known for his warm tone, hard-swinging style, and deep roots in the bebop tradition, Magnarelli has worked and recorded with legends including Lionel Hampton, Brother Jack McDuff, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Harry Connick Jr., Ray Barretto New World sextet. A celebrated bandleader and educator, he has appeared on more than 125 recordings and continues to tour internationally while remaining a favorite on the NYC jazz circuit.
